Holy Trinity Church, Messingham

Facilities & Accessibility

Access to the church through the main south porch door involves a small downward step.

To help visitors in wheelchairs a ramp is available but assistance will be required for safe entry.

The nave and Lady chapel floors are flat and on one level but the chancel is accessed via two steps. There is a further step to the altar rail.

Toilet facilities are currently only available in the church hall by the main gate but these are only suitable for wheelchair user access with assistance. Access into the church hall involves an upward step.

It is our intention to install a fully Disability Discrimination Act compliant toilet facility within the church building in a later phase of restoration and improvement work.

Refreshments are frequently available when events are held in church. For visitors requiring some sustenance at other times, the village has several food outlets and shops. A coffee shop and restaurant in the old school building is nearest to the church on the main road through the village at the top of Temperance Avenue.
